Everything amounts to money, in the end. Native Americans formed the integrity of this country's land and natural resources before any European set foot on American ground. Because of this, Native Americans deserve to be given the proper recognition. They should be given better living conditions, proper resources, and better food supply. After all, they started it for us to finish it, right?
I kind of agree but kind of disagree, too. I feel as though we all know that Columbus came over here and kicked Native Americans off of their land. Ok, we get it. The situation is over with. Sometimes people play the victim in situations to get what they want, and I think Native Americans have played the victim long enough. The same thing has gone for years in the African-American community, also. Ok, slavery happened, segregation happened. Blacks were displaced from their land too i.e. the triangular trade system. African-Americans aren't being compensated for that. Why do we insist on dwelling on the past.
